The history of cabinetmaking began with the economic aesthetic desire veneer sheets of wood. Very quickly, combinations with other materials abound, a whirlwind of ideas and technical challenges that have been preserved and developed to this day. Since the rise of “Boulle marquetry”, named after named after King Louis XIV’s cabinetmaker André Charles BOULLE, the “Black and Gold” contrast has become a code in the world of luxury. A bewitching marriage despite the passing of time and fashions. a constantly reinvented and cyclical artistic reference. We pay tribute to this technique, here in brass and 2000-year-old swamp oak. We combined our BOIS LARMÉ© and C°WOOD© to twist these bands without the need for molds. Since the rise of “Boulle marquetry,” the “Black and Gold” contrast has become a staple in the world of luxury. An enchanting combination that has remained timeless despite changing trends, it is an artistic reference that is continuously reinvented and cyclical. This suspended light fixture pays tribute to this technique by combining BOIS LARMÉ © and C°WOOD © to twist these strips without the need for molds.
