The birth of Brownstone takes place in New York City, during an artistic residency by Steven Leprizé. This folding screen, inspired by the street architecture of the “city that never sleeps”, highlights the contemporary relationship between humans and stone. The pockets that make up the windows are backlit and underline the continuous effervescence of this city. The rhythm of the veneer gives the illusion of being inside or outside a building depending on where you look at the piece.
