Mini Plot – Bench

In the spirit of its larger counterpart from the Brut collection, the Mini-Plot outdoor bench embodies one of the initial wood transformation stages: sawing. The Elm has been entirely milled within the family-owned sawmill. This bench, with its substantial appearance, becomes pliable and gracefully accommodates the exerted pressure on the top board serving as a seat. The surface has been meticulously sanded to highlight the natural beauty of the Elm burl’s texture. The rods, valuable pieces meant for drying, are crafted from brass this time. The wooden frame rests on red cedar blocks, a rot-resistant wood species contrasting with the light elm; they appear to yield under repeated flexion and the pressure of bodies.
